In Isaiah 62:1-12, three different verses either state or imply that a "new name" would be given to God's people during the Messianic Age. And yet, there seems to be no clear indication in the New Testament of exactly what that "new name" came to be, or is there? This Word file outline lesson attempts to tackle the question, as well as to provide some insights as to the importance of this "new name."

About the Church of Christ

The Southside Church of Christ family is a group of people who are striving to learn, understand, and live what God's Word teaches. We want to be New Testament Christians- nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

We call ourselves a "Church of Christ" for several reasons:

We seek to be the Church according to His teaching, therefore we belong to Him;
It is a scriptural name by which saints in the New Testament were called [Romans 16:16]; and,
It hopefully identifies us to others as people who are trying to be the non-denominational Church which Jesus Christ purchased with his blood [Acts 20:28].
