The previous three lessons in this series on "The Christian Family" have mainly with "big picture" concepts and choices. This lesson seeks to focus more on the individual role and responsibility of being a "husband" first, and then a "father." Some consideration is also given to a proper understanding what the term "family" means from the biblical/divine perspective.

About the Church of Christ

The Southside Church of Christ family is a group of people who are striving to learn, understand, and live what God's Word teaches. We want to be New Testament Christians- nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

We call ourselves a "Church of Christ" for several reasons:

We seek to be the Church according to His teaching, therefore we belong to Him;
It is a scriptural name by which saints in the New Testament were called [Romans 16:16]; and,
It hopefully identifies us to others as people who are trying to be the non-denominational Church which Jesus Christ purchased with his blood [Acts 20:28].
