Thanks for visiting the Southside Church of Christ homepage. It is designed to be a spiritual help to both our local church family, as well as brethren and friends wherever they may be, as we strive together to "become partakers of the divine nature" (2Peter 2:4). About the Church of Christ

The Southside Church of Christ family is a group of people who are striving to learn, understand, and live what God's Word teaches. We want to be New Testament Christians- nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

We call ourselves a "Church of Christ" for several reasons:

We seek to be the Church according to His teaching, therefore we belong to Him;
It is a scriptural name by which saints in the New Testament were called [Romans 16:16]; and,
It hopefully identifies us to others as people who are trying to be the non-denominational Church which Jesus Christ purchased with his blood [Acts 20:28].
