This lesson (along with "How Do You 'See' the Bible?" and "How Do You 'See' Yourself?") is based on the principle taught by Jesus in Matthew 13:13- that we can "see" without really "seeing." Failing to properly "see" the Church which Jesus purchased with His blood leads to all sorts of perversions of its organization and purpose.

About the Church of Christ

The Southside Church of Christ family is a group of people who are striving to learn, understand, and live what God's Word teaches. We want to be New Testament Christians- nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

We call ourselves a "Church of Christ" for several reasons:

We seek to be the Church according to His teaching, therefore we belong to Him;
It is a scriptural name by which saints in the New Testament were called [Romans 16:16]; and,
It hopefully identifies us to others as people who are trying to be the non-denominational Church which Jesus Christ purchased with his blood [Acts 20:28].
