“Citizen” in the Kingdom

This latest entry to the series seeks bring to light what it means to be a Citizen in the Kingdom of Christ. The primary text is taken from Colossians 1:13-14 which speaks of Christians being transferred into "the kingdom of His beloved Son." Citizenship in this spiritual kingdom, like in any political one, comes with both privileges as well as requirements and obligations. This lesson highlights access, required allegiances, and possible forfeiture of "citizenship" in Christ's kingdom.

About the Church of Christ

The Southside Church of Christ family is a group of people who are striving to learn, understand, and live what God's Word teaches. We want to be New Testament Christians- nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

We call ourselves a "Church of Christ" for several reasons:

We seek to be the Church according to His teaching, therefore we belong to Him;
It is a scriptural name by which saints in the New Testament were called [Romans 16:16]; and,
It hopefully identifies us to others as people who are trying to be the non-denominational Church which Jesus Christ purchased with his blood [Acts 20:28].
