“Average” Christians?

What does an "average" Christian look like? What are his typical characteristics and habits? This lesson is based on an article written several years ago by Bro. Rick Moore. He then preached for the Kiber St. Church of Christ in Angleton, TX. He now labors with the Church in Brazoria, TX, and is a good friend of mine. The lesson has two sections: (1) attempts to get a handle on what "average" Christians are; and (2) examines how God has looked at "average" men in three time periods: the Patriarchal age, the Mosaical age, and the Christian age.

About the Church of Christ

The Southside Church of Christ family is a group of people who are striving to learn, understand, and live what God's Word teaches. We want to be New Testament Christians- nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

We call ourselves a "Church of Christ" for several reasons:

We seek to be the Church according to His teaching, therefore we belong to Him;
It is a scriptural name by which saints in the New Testament were called [Romans 16:16]; and,
It hopefully identifies us to others as people who are trying to be the non-denominational Church which Jesus Christ purchased with his blood [Acts 20:28].
