This short lesson was given just prior to our Elders here at Southside addressing the congregation relative to the selection and appointment of additional Elders. It deals with the necessary interaction of Shepherds and Sheep to accomplish the Lord's work. It is a brief outline in Word format.

Thanks for visiting the Southside Church of Christ homepage. It is designed to be a spiritual help to both our local church family, as well as brethren and friends wherever they may be, as we strive together to "become partakers of the divine nature" (2Peter 2:4). About the Church of Christ

The Southside Church of Christ family is a group of people who are striving to learn, understand, and live what God's Word teaches. We want to be New Testament Christians- nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

We call ourselves a "Church of Christ" for several reasons:

We seek to be the Church according to His teaching, therefore we belong to Him;
It is a scriptural name by which saints in the New Testament were called [Romans 16:16]; and,
It hopefully identifies us to others as people who are trying to be the non-denominational Church which Jesus Christ purchased with his blood [Acts 20:28].
