Brother Harold Hancock

will be speaking for us in our next Gospel Meeting, which will take place, Lord willing, September 9th - 12th (Sunday through Wednesday). Brother Hancock does an excellent job of presenting thoughtful and relevant lessons from the Word of God, and we are very excited to be bringing him back to Jacksonville, even if only for a brief engagement. Although, he will also be teaching a special "One-Day Men's Study" here this summer (specific date TBA). Harold has had a very proudctive work for many years with the Timberland Drive church in Lufkin, TX. We do hope you will plan to join us for what promises to be a spiritual feast.

About the Church of Christ

The Southside Church of Christ family is a group of people who are striving to learn, understand, and live what God's Word teaches. We want to be New Testament Christians- nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

We call ourselves a "Church of Christ" for several reasons:

We seek to be the Church according to His teaching, therefore we belong to Him;
It is a scriptural name by which saints in the New Testament were called [Romans 16:16]; and,
It hopefully identifies us to others as people who are trying to be the non-denominational Church which Jesus Christ purchased with his blood [Acts 20:28].
