The Blessings of Old Age

Far too many of us view "old age" as a curse, rather than a blessing. Before you dismiss this thought as either unrelated to you or unfounded, consider the biblical perspective that "The hoary (gray) head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness." (KJV) The famed novelist Victor Hugo (author, Les Misables, 1862) wrote, "Winter is on my head, but spring is in my heart." While we can't control what the years do to our bodies, our hearts are purely at our discretion. They don't have to get "old and decrepit" with the rest of our body! Perhaps those with benefit of accumulate years and young hearts/minds that understand and appreciate the blessings of old age the most.
